Who is responsible
North Taxi AS (org. no. 915 660 347), Ole Deviks vei 2, 0666 Oslo, Norway, is the data controller for personal data collected on this website. Send any questions about privacy to post@northtaxi.no.
What we collect
- Sign-ups: name and phone number, and if you fill them in, company name, email, licence number, car and message.
- Taxi bookings: pick-up address, destination, time, car type, name, phone number and any comment for the driver.
- Contact form: what your enquiry is about, name, phone number, email and your message.
- When you contact us by phone, WhatsApp or email: whatever you choose to tell us.
What we use it for
We use sign-ups to assess them and to contact you. We use bookings to send a car and carry out the trip. The legal basis is that the processing is necessary to enter into or perform an agreement with you (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
We use enquiries from the contact form to reply to you and follow up the matter, for example receipts, complaints and lost property. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Article 6(1)(f)).
We do not use the information for marketing, and we do not sell it.
Who has access
The information is processed by North Taxi. Bookings are passed on to our dispatch system (Cabsoluit) and to the driver who takes the trip.
The forms are sent to us by email through Resend, which stores the data in the EU (Ireland). The website is hosted by Vercel. When you type a pick-up address or destination, what you type is sent to Google to show address suggestions. These providers process the information on our behalf and according to our instructions.
If you contact us on WhatsApp, WhatsApp’s own terms also apply.
How long we keep it
- Sign-ups: deleted six months after we have replied, unless you join the dispatch centre. In that case we keep them for as long as the agreement lasts.
- Contact details from bookings: deleted three months after the trip.
- Enquiries from the contact form: deleted when the matter is closed, at the latest after twelve months.
- Receipts and settlements for trips are kept for five years, as required by the Norwegian Bookkeeping Act.
Cookies and tracking
This website does not use cookies for tracking or advertising. It only remembers, in your browser, whether you chose the light or dark theme. This is not personal data, and you can delete it by clearing your browser data.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. You can also ask us to restrict the processing, object to it or receive a copy of your data. Send us an email at post@northtaxi.no and we will reply within 30 days.
If you believe we process your data unlawfully, you can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (datatilsynet.no).
